Bahamas presents its case to Moody’s.

Minister of Finance of the Bahamas, Peter Turnquest presented his administration’s strategic plan to Moody’s in an effort to avoid a credit ratings downgrade.

Moody’s originally placed the Bahamas’ Baa3 credit rating on review for a downgrade if the government’s policy response did not support  stabilization of the debt trend.

Turnquest reiterated his commitment to correct any unnecessary “bleeding” in the economy, practice fiscal discipline and promote growth in the economy.
