Caribbean Organisations at risk from cyber threats

Regional Risk Assurance Leader-Caribbean, PwC, Bruce Scott, says that Caribbean companies need to take operational risk more seriously and that firms in the region have not been giving operational risk its due attention.

He claims that while financial risks get a lot of attention there seems to be a passive acceptance that fraud is going to happen, so serious steps are not taken to mitigate it.

He recommends that firms accept the reality that cyber risk is very real and costly and needs to be managed while aiming towards other business goals.
