IMF publishes Policy Paper: Recent Trends in Correspondent Banking Relationships- Further considerations. The paper assesses the recent trends in the correspondent banking industry by analyzing variables such as number of accounts, volume of transfers, value of transfers and cost of transfer etc. The paper also attempts to identify the drivers of de-risking by exploring the degree of correlation between the key variables.

An aggregated summary of the main policy responses and industry initiatives based on the regions most affected are also provided.
