Remittances on the Decline

The World Bank stated that remittances to developing countries have been declining for the past two consecutive years, a phenomenon which has not occurred in three decades.  Remittances to developing countries fell by 2.4% to $429bn while global remittances fell by 1.2% to $575bn.
