The Government of Guyana recently acquired an iBase (intuitive intelligence data management application) license from IBM to boost the country’s AML structures. The software will allow Guyana’s financial intelligence unit to map, store, import and export data to and from a centralized repository. It will also significantly decrease the time taken to analyze data and produce results.
The U.S. has agreed to cover the cost of initial training and support service required to implement iBase. The training and support will be facilitated by IBM at a cost of US$30 million.
