Join The CAB
Membership of the Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) is open to all banks and financial institutions operating within the Caribbean and CARICOM region.
For the purposes of membership, a “bank” is defined as:
(i) a regulated financial institution whose primary business is banking, including commercial banks, mortgage banks, merchant banks, and development banks; and
(ii) other regulated financial institutions, including trust companies, investment brokerage houses, and leagues of credit unions.
Suppliers of goods and services may also join the Association under a newly established category of membership known as Service Members.
Membership is held in the name of the institution and is typically represented by its Chief Executive Officer or an authorized senior executive.
The current application/registration fee is US$250.00 and is non‑refundable.
Admission of new members is subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
Applicants are required to submit the following documentation as part of the application process. All materials should be submitted electronically to cab@candw.lc:
- A completed application form
- A copy of the most recent audited financial statements
- Certificate of registration or incorporation
- A copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association or By‑Laws
- Details of shareholders, including ultimate and beneficial ownership
- Copies of relevant official identification
- A reference letter from an existing CAB member
